Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chicago follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. Wanted Boba but there was so many to choose from in Chinatown- decided to try UniUni- disappointed/ ordered recommended- mango and the mango grapefruit sago- no flavor and bland- ordered regular sugar. No real mango flavor - they skimped on mango syrup but looked like by color they may have used a powder mix to blend. The tapioca boba pearls said brown sugar tapioca- but nothing brown sugar about it - didnβt even taste like it was even sweetened with anything and was a little hard. Didnβt finished and tossed most of the drink.

I saw this place all over TikTok when looking into chinatown must-visits. I would have to agree that this place is a mist try for boba in Chinatown. My taro tea had a few clumps of powder at the bottom, but the tea still had a great flavor, as did the boba tapioca pearls themselves. Iβve been to places to where you bite into it & its flavorless, but UniUni has it down! The pearls had the perfect level of sweetness. The tuna Onigri was delicious too! Not sure if theyβre homemade or premade as I honestly didnt check, but I did enjoy it a lot. It was my first time trying it and I would definitely buy it again.

the place is cute, i went for the ZZZ collab but there was another event going on which was fun. the drink i had was good and the food was not bad. however, i feel like the workers didnβt know what they were doing with the collab. i asked if i could get a different drink than the collab but they charged me for a separate drink and food without telling me. i also had to ask for the cup i wanted, and after they handed me my stuff i had to ask AGAIN for the merch that comes with it. another huge thing is they donβt have a bathroom, even if you are a paying customer. they told me i could go to the food court and use one but they didnβt let me either. so i most likely will not be coming back here and i hope they can improve these things in the future.

Honestly so so so disappointed as a long term costumer. Their quality of drink and food has dropped drastically over the past years. And I canβt even tell you how bad is it now comparing to what it was before. The mochi puer milk tea is the best example, it used to be rich and tasty with a decent amount of mochi that actually tastes like mochi. Now itβs watered down, tastes like flavored water with some cotton candy inside. Itβs disgusting and Iβm so sad to see it like this bc I actually like it before and Iβve given it chances but seems like itβs gonna stay at this low quality forever.
